The town of Jean Lafitte was severely impacted by Hurricane Ida. A small community south of New Orleans, it has deep roots and has shown great resilience through many storms before. New Orleans Habitat has partnered with Rural Studios at Auburn University to design homes that will meet the needs of a community like Jean Lafitte to better protect them from storms. With strategic partnerships, we are reducing the cost of the homes through donated materials, and a remote location has been set up to coordinate our efforts there. In the coming years, NOAHH will build more than 40 homes with these new designs.

Rising Oaks. A new walkable community in Jefferson Parish.

Annual Donor Honor Roll.
It’s a pretty big deal to get on this list.

We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible donors who dig deep to help us make the dream of home ownership a reality for so many across the New Orleans area. If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have been able to help as many families and people as we have.
