Habitat Success Stories

Frank Family

I’m a proud native of New Orleans and I have always dreamt of building my own home in the city that I love. I’m currently employed full time at Pat O’Brien’s Restaurant and attend Delgado Community College as a full-time student as well. I will be graduating from Delgado in December 2018 with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  I hope to use my degree to serve youth involved in the justice system.

I enjoy listening to live music, mentoring kids, and traveling the world. People often refer to me as the life of the party because I believe that life should be enjoyed with good energy. One fun fact about me is that I love to sing karaoke alone in the mirror in the middle of the night.

On New Year’s Eve of 2016, my apartment caught on fire and most of my possessions were damaged. Sadly, I lost that apartment. Now, two years later, thanks to Habitat for Humanity I’m in process of owning my first home, which was built from the ground up. I’m so thankful for Habitat for Humanity and the awesome volunteers who came and helped build my house.
