Income Guidelines

To qualify for homeownership in our program, your yearly income should not be less than $36,000 (or around $3,000 a month). Our program is designed for people who would not be able to qualify for traditional loans due to low income or other circumstances.

If you don’t qualify for our program, you are not out of options! There are many resources for people with credit and debt issues to deal with. Please consult this list of Credit Counseling Resources.

If you have an immediate need for shelter (due to homelessness or severe damage to your home), you can find help with one of the organizations on this list of Immediate Needs Resources.

If after speaking to our case managers, you find that your income is above the usual range, you can find help from one of the organizations on this list of Over-Income Resources.

If you do not live in the New Orleans area, you can find a Habitat affiliate near you through the affiliate finder.
