Habitat Success Stories

Meier Family

My name is Andrea Meier and I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan before moving to New Orleans after I graduated from high school in 2002. Once here I worked in the service industry and attended and graduated from both Delgado Community College and Tulane University. I have a great interest in the history and culture of New Orleans and I have spent a great deal of leisure time devoted to learning about these topics. I currently work as a server with the Besh Restaurant Group.

I have two children, Maximus, who is three, and two year old Adelaide. They love music, reading and going to the park. They will be starting school in the next couple years.

Since I’ve had my kids renting has become harder, mainly because of rising costs and our need for more space. I would love for Max and Adelaide to have a stable and consistent place to live as they start school and throughout their childhoods. Habitat for Humanity has made this aspiration possible and for that; thank you to Habitat and of course all the wonderful volunteers.
