House Sponsorships
The 2009 cost to build a Habitat home is $85,000. House Sponsors provide this funding and are invited to work side by side with our partner families, volunteers, and staff to build houses from the ground up. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at cost through a zero-interest mortgage. Each mortgage payment is put into a "Fund for Humanity" that helps NOAHH build more homes. So in essence, one House Sponsorship helps NOAHH build many more homes down the road. Your donation is a longterm investment in affordable housing. NOAHH welcomes all people to raise their hammers, their funding, and their voices, to share in a movement to eliminate substandard housing and rebuild New Orleans.
